[2012] What happened this year to Rayque?

Well a few hours left for 2013, I (and the rest of the Rayque3 Staff) wish you a great 2013. For me, 2012 can be described as, a year which started new. This post is a summary of what happened to me, Rayque.

[EMS] Lionheart Battle Cape GET!

Hi guys, I finally have my fifth and (for now) last Lionheart equipment I wanted! I've crafted the cape by myself, collected the Dream Fragments by buying them all in the Tempest shop (that took me a full month to do). For now, I have finally my 5-Set Lionheart Battle equipment! Time to finish them all by Cubing/Scrolling.

Hi guys! As it's holiday, I have a lot of spare time. I managed to get progress into my Lego® Electronic/Pneumatic Helicopter. See the last progress here. Today I've been concentrating on the groundplate, with the entire control panel. As you might see I've added a Power Functions "Watt/Voltage/Ampere meter" and a Pneumatic Bar meter. It's almost finished, I just need to receive my ordered Lego® Electronics to finish some parts. For now, I'll keep it like this. Later this holiday I hope to finish the Helicopter itself, this part takes the most time out of all. If you have been wondering how long I've been building this, the groundplate on this photo took me a small 5 hours.

[EMS] Phantom & Kaiser Skill Link GET!

Hi guys! I just got my Phantom Skill Link a few minutes ago. Got the Kaiser one near 7 December by the way. Now I have five Skill Links! Cannon Shooter, Mercedes, Demon Slayer, Phantom and Kaiser!

Phantom's Skill Link gives a nice 10% Critical Rate boost, which I really need because Hero runs on low Critical Rate. Kaiser's Skill Link gives a 10% HP Boost! Rayque has a lot of base HP, so every %-HP is welcome.

At this moment they are all Level 1. When the Tempest patch is done near March 2013; we will get Unlimited patch later on. This means I'll grind my Skill Link characters to Level 120 to receive Level 2 Skill Links, with even better stats!

[EMS] Another Equipment boost!

Hi guys, so the past few weeks I've been working on my equips again. I did succeed, and with major steps! I finally got my Lionheart Battle Bracers (gloves) and I managed to cube some more %-STR! Now I have 30%-STR. I also managed to Anvil my Lionheart Battle Helm with the looks of a Kaivesurnet.
Finally unlocked Additional Potential on my Ribgol Sword and Lionheart Battle Bracers!
It's a rather huge step compared to a few months ago. Again it's far from finished but it's really satisfying to see another milestone of progress!

And yeah; Nexon Europe did something that actually surprised me on a somewhat moody way. They changed the name Ribgol Sword back to Stonetooth Sword.... WHY NEXON EUROPE WHY!

[YT] New background & Little delay

The new background for this blog, a new
Ribgol Sword drawing.

Heey guys, as you might have seen, I've changed the background of my blog last Friday into a new Ribgol Sword drawing. It took me about 30 minutes to draw this Ribgol Sword on A3 paper with pen, black & blue pencil and a few (various grayscales and blue) drawing markers.

As for the new videos this month, you might have seen MechaRaptor has uploaded a Let's Play for Borderlands 2. I hope you all enjoy this Let's Play and his new parts for the walkthrough of Croc 2.
For my contribution of new Rayque3 videos, I have a little (expected) delay for my resume of a current project. How come? The game servers have a somewhat gameplay-reducing lag and certain modes & bosses of that particular game are glitched out and unavailable. I expect the game being fixed in a few days so I might be able to start resuming it in 2 weeks.

[YT] New videos coming next month!

Hi guys! Next month I'll be making new videos from a current Rayque3 project. It's a project that hasn't been resumed for two months because of waiting times about updates in-game.

As you might know, MechaRaptor is busy with his own walkthrough from the game Croc 2. As you may know from our update video he will do his best to upload one part a week! I hope you all enjoyed his great work (and his next-to-come awesome videos!) and our most recent video, the Xenoblade Chronicle "Final Hour" - Final Bosses & Ending.

Next month a certain large patch is coming to a certain game about mushrooms and slimes. The update has something to do with major changes and new characters coming back from forgotten and yet-to-come stories. Switching through two different dimensions and certain area's that have been taken over by large forces. That's about the update. However, some strange saw-looking blade is included within these videos. I guess you all know what I'm thinking about, no?

If you don't really understand what I'm talking about, I'm afraid you will have to wait until next month... I hope you all will enjoy the resume of one of my favorite Youtube projects and all other Rayque3 Staff videos that has yet to come!

Still work in progress, the finish line is in sight... about 12 hours work so far. An electronic helicopter made in Lego® bricks, using various electronics (Control Center II, Power Functions, 9V) with pneumatic. Has working front lights and the cockpit's computer lights up. It's based on the Lego® 8485 Control Center II, mixed with my own signature of designing trying to make a somewhat better model.

I'm so @#%* pissed right now. I just came back home and I checked my PC for the video where I was already uploading for about 60 hours. Today it should be done but when I looked on my screen the upload has been aborted.

From now it will take another 60 hours for the upload to be done. This is third time that a similar upload abortion has been occurred this year and this is utterly @#& bullshit. The upload will be done this weekend (13/14 October).

Apologize for the inconveniences.

Uhm what the hell? Seems that the video upload did work after a while... damn this is really messed up. Well, enjoy the video guys!

[YT] 1,000,000 Total Views & New video soon!

Hi guys! Yesterday, October the 7th, the Rayque3 Staff Youtube has finally reached its first 1 million total upload views! This is the largest milestone our Youtube has ever reached! Thank you all for your support the past 51 months!

To celebrate this amazing milestone, we are going to upload a rather large video. See it as a cake we are going to share! No, that was not a hint for a Portal playthrough. Rayque has already been uploading a video the past 20 hours. The upload still takes about 40 hours though... For our fans who have been watching our videos since 2009, here is a line that may give a Rayque3-nostalgia:

Those who sin, will meet their punishment.

The aforementioned line has to do something with the video which will be uploaded within 40 hours. We can't wait until the video has been uploaded! This video is going to be the longest Rayque3 video ever made. Be ready to stock up some popcorn for a video of almost three hours!

[Lego] MapleStory in Lego®: Afterlord

It's finally finished! After 8 weeks of building, it is here! This is my interpretation of the Afterlord from the game MapleStory. The real Afterlord from the game has a rocket launcher, and in my own interpretation it has a minigun barrel due possibilities in the used scale. I've also modified some parts & angles of the original in the Lego® bricks version. The left side and the back are not represented in the game, so I was free to build it in any way I wanted to.

This Lego Afterlord weighs 1,9 kilograms and is 30 cm (length) x 24 cm (width) x 26 cm (height). It is also fully radio controlled with Power Functions. Both catterpillar tracks are motorized individually, making the Afterlord nimble. The minigun barrel can be rotated to simulate firing actions. The front can open through a motor which opens the front cover and reveals the inside, just like in-game. The headlight on the right works by using a Power Functions LED light. The inside of the Afterlord at the front cover is also lighted.

Today it is 30 September 2012! This means, this is my 5th year of playing MapleStory Europe already! Time really flies when you have fun.

I've started MapleStory Europe back in 2007, on 30 September. I had never expected to play this game so long and having so much fun! Still after all these years, I still play on one character, Rayque. I haven't quitted the game, I've still been playing the game every day I can in that time.

I still haven't got any urge to quit the game soon. The new patches that will come to EMS has only given me more reasons to stay! I also have a lot of friends that are playing EMS whom I have to care about.

[Lego] Project E-for-Energy

Hi guys! Today I finally ordered two Lego sets.

What kind of Lego sets? As the project name says, E-For-Energy, it has something to do with energy (well thanks captain obvious). Wait... could the first E also stand for Education? Lego Education.... something from Lego Dacta? Well when I say it's from Lego Education (or as its older name, Lego Dacta) a few fellow Lego collectors may recognize the pain for getting those sets... because normal retailers & the Lego online shop won't sell them (you need to find a special store). Education and Energy? Something with durable or green energy? Sunrays? Maybe not energy as in electric, but maybe something with air pressure? Pressure meters? Hmm... seems legit.

It will take a few days before the ordered sets will arrive. I guess they will come next week. Stay tuned!

[Lego] Work in progress: Afterlord

Hi guys! I've been working on a Lego® bricks project the past few weeks. It is still not finished and I still need a lot of time. It is an Afterlord/Afterroad from the game MapleStory. Things I can say already is that it will be powered by Power Functions and it will be radio-controlled. I did modify some parts on the Afterlord, mostly the gun. The original Afterlord uses a rocket launcher but in my model it has a minigun. Some parts are just placeholders and they will be changed later!

[EMS] Equipment Boost! 3/5 Lionheart Set!

Hi guys! The past few weeks I've been working on my Lionheart Set. A few months ago I had decided to get a 5-set Lionheart gear (Hat, Overal, Shoes, Cape & Glove) for my Ribgol Sword. The stat boosts are insane compared to my previous gear and it really upped my damage a lot the past few weeks. So, here is the plan.

[Lego] 8110 + 8043 GET!

 

Hi guys! Today I had a day off to a Lego® Store near my hometown, and I manage to get some decent loot! I manage to score myself Lego® 8110, 8043 and two Lego® games (Lego® Racers 1 and Rock Raiders) for Windows 7. Yeah as you may know we already have Lego® Racers 1... but why the eff getting another one? Having another back-up CD of a precious good game is really nice to have. I have already build Lego® 8043 (it's really great!) and I hope to blog some photo's soon of both sets.

[Other] Slow news period again.

Don't worry I'm still alive I just do not have much to blog about. News dried up again a bit. A bit of summary:

[EMS] I'm level 184 on MapleStory Europe, going to level to 185 soon. Still working on my gear and traits. Made some new friends the past few weeks.

[TF2] I really enjoy the Mann VS Machine update on Team Fortress 2. Got my 90 hour Demoman playtime.

[YT] Need a month or 2 and we will reach our first 1.000.000 total upload views! Thanks also for a few fans that contacted me online on EMS ^_^

[LEGO] Not much happened in the Lego® section. Still enjoying my collection and dusting off some sets I displayed on shelves.

[EMS] Demon Slayer Skill Link GET! 3 Links already!

Hi guys! Today I finally got the last Skill Link of the Legend patch. Now I have the Cannon Shooter, Mercedes AND Demon Slayer skill link ^_^

For my viewers who have no clue what a Skill Link is; a few classes in MapleStory have an unique character boost which you can give to two characters (the class itself and one class you link). For example, while Cannon Shooter is 15 STR, 15 DEX, 15 INT, 15 LUK and 5% HP & MP, Mercedes is 110% Experience with a free instant teleport to Elleul (a town in MapleStory) with 30 minutes cooldown.

So, now I'll have to wait until the next Skill Link, and that is from the Phantom class.

[EMS] Legendary Black Dragon Ring GET!

Hi guys! So, today is the Demon Slayer patch. I finally got the Legendary Black Dragon Ring! It took me only an hour or 1,5 to get it. [EMS] Askaron!

Hi guys! I apologize again for the low amount of blogging lately, I just had some shit in real life the past few days. Well, back to blogging, and I finally obtained the Askaron from Dragon Rider PQ! It took me quite some boxes to get it haha. Well I guess this sword does remind some people of a story of mine, no?

[YT] Another day to waste. Next upload extended with at least another day.

Hi guys, so I was uploading the past 23 hours yesterday, went to sleep, thinking that my upload would be completed since it had about 7 hours left. So, what happened, my PC seems to be restarted on its on will without my commando, and now the entire upload has been wasted (video is aborted from Youtube) with all the time that I've spend to check the upload. What I mostly do with an upload is that I'm sitting in front of my computer screen the whole time. So yeah, I almost sat 23 hours in front of my PC checking the upload status while listening music and chatting with budds. Not even going to play a game or build something with Lego® bricks. I'm really pissed right now since I didn't do much the past 30 hours, and now I have to do another 30 hours again. F-cking ridiculous upload.

[Lego] Interruption while building the 8485 T-Rex

OK. Expect a rant post here. A few days ago, as you can see on the photo, I was building my 8485 third model, the Tyrannosaurus Rex. I was already building my T-Rex for about four hours, saw the finish line coming closely. But...

'Been uploading since 1 AM. Gotta wait until this evening to be finished. I just don't hope that the upload would fail. Oh well, Youtube uploading recovery is for the win, only it will give me more stress. Yes it's a quite long video, one-and-a-half hours long. [Lego] 8485 GET!

Ah, finally got this set, the Lego® 8485 Control Center II! I don't have any clue why it took me so long to take the opportunity to order the set. I only have built the Helicopter and I am really amazed by this set, no wonder this one is so highly rated in the Technic timeline. I'm really looking forward to build the T-Rex and I love all those Lego® 9V & Flexcable pieces that this set contains. Sorry, no review like I did on my Lego® 9446, I haven't build everything of this set so I can't review the entire set yet.

[YT] Major rendering issues

Hi guys! So I've been working on the aforementioned video project. Unfortunately, the converting has failed six times. I've been working the past 32 hours sitting in front of my screen & listening music and waiting to see the converting watch six times in a row, without a 100% successful video. I'm gonna take a break and convert another time, I haven't done anything this weekend other than watching my screen rendering a video six times and it's already almost over. I'm going to play some Team Fortress 2 now. This rendering is bullsh-.

[EMS] Quests, quests, quests!

Good lord... I'm far away from finishing everything lol. Still have about 60 Victoria quests to do with the new Legends patch. I also lost about 30 Quest Chains since the Jump patch, such as Maple Island quests. You don't want to know how much hours I have been spend in these quests. I've got my Quest Specialist before Big Bang and I've completed everything I could, so if anyone remembers the Pre-Big Bang quests... As mentioned in older posts, started with Rayque at 30 September 2007, never quitted since that date, so enough time spread to quest a lot. In the earlier years when I've played, I level'd first and took a break to quest when I received new ones. It's really useful when you aim for a Quest Specialist on new characters.

[EMS] Crazy Hyena GET! Equip boost!

Hi guys! Last Wednesday I got my Crazy Hyena mount! Ugh, finally, it took me a full year to get it. I've completed Resurrection of the Hob King PQ over 200 times before Big Bang, and about 320 Resurrection of the Hob King PQ after Jump. Took me long enough, since the PQ took about 13 minutes before Big Bang and about 5 minutes after Jump, that means I have done this PQ for about 70 hours. Which is nothing compared to my Lv 5 Soul Driver hunt (90 hours for all levels) and my Ribgol Sword hunt (115 hours without finding any Ribgol Sword). Oh well.

I also boosted some equips again! Took me quite some time to boost them. White scrolls, participating with events, Legend Coins, etc. Got my first Armor Att 15% on my Auf Haven Circlet, got two new rings and got myself the Skill Link from Cannon Shooter.

Hi guys! Today I finally completed the 5th birthday events from EMS and I finally got the 8 all stat medal ^_^ it took me a few days more than I've expected but I finally have it now!

[Lego] 9446 GET!

  

I finally got my hands on this set! It's so amazing & cool. Actually, this is my first Lego® pirate ship I've ever obtained and I'm really happy about the bricks it has and the playability is amazing. It has tons of features, such as hidden weapons & treasures, the sails can open making the ship have wings and the back can turn around in an incredible way, and makes the ship a flying boat. Isn't that cool? More information below the Jump break.

[EMS] Legends patch is near!

Hi guys, I do apologize very much for the such inactive blogging. News dried a bit up and school was dominating in my spare time. Well, I do have something very important to post now: the Legends patch is near in EMS! What I'm going to do in this patch? I'll tell you.










- First of all, I'm going to buy an AP-Reset Scroll, if our Legends Coin shop has this one available.
- I'm going to aim for some other items, such as Crystal Android Heart Recipe in the Legends Coin shop, if it's affordable to get. I have no idea how hard or how easy it is to get Legend-Coins, I guess I'll see soon.
- I'm going to make a Cannon Shooter, Mercedes and Demon Slayer to obtain the Skill Links for Rayque. Yup, I'm also going to make the other jobs which will come in the future for the last Skill Links I do not have yet. Having one main is so useful since you can concentrate every single piece of fund on one character, and beef the main with all different kinds of Skill Links! Hmm beef... I still have to get some breakfast + - +
- Ah, Legendary Potential later on. That means only one thing, Self Speed Infusion. I'm going to hardcore cube my Marx Von Leon Glove to obtain the Speed Infusion. With that, my Ribgol Sword is going to be even, much more faster (even max speed lol).
- I have no idea if it's possible to make new High-Dex Hero videos, I don't even know if the World Tour bosses are going to be fixed.

[EMS] 9x EXP & "Bodyguard A/B/The Boss"

Hi guys! So today there was another 3x EXP/DROP event in EMS and I got a 4 hours 2x EXP card from my friend xG10x and I've defeated the Bodyguard A, Bodyguard B and The Boss for some experience. For the ones who don't know, The Boss is the final boss of Zipangu - Showa and it has two pre-bosses, Bodyguard A and Bodyguard B. All three are quite popular for the experience they give. I also took a Holy Symbol mule with me and I've gained 146.006.809 experience. I've also included the screenshots of the run (click on the thumbnails to zoom in)

[EMS] Kenta's Goggles GET!

Hi guys! You may read my previous post today about PQing. Well, as I mentioned before, I've done the daily limit of Kenta in Danger PQ. Everything went well, I finally have the Kenta's Goggles! I am really lucky that the potential came out 3-lined.

I'm happy now. ^^

[EMS] Crazy Hyena is near, tonight Kenta's Goggles

Hi guys! I am doing quite a few PQ's at the moment, and trying to get that Crazy Hyena mount (as mentioned in older posts). Just 99 marks to go! That's about 2 weeks left for me if I can PQ every day I could. Can't wait to finally get that mount, I've waited long enough (I've done 200 Hob King PQs before Big Bang, when the PQ took almost 15 minutes each and Hyena would drop from Rex. After 200 we found nothing and some people in EMS has found a Hyena in the first 100 PQs, I still feed bad 'bout that).

Tonight I'm going to do the daily limit for Kenta in Danger PQ. If everything is going as planned, I'll have my Kenta's Goggles tonight! I'll make a new post when I've got it.

[EMS] Equip boosts

Heey guys, some small things happened in EMS regarding my equips. My range has been boosted by a few 100s right now. I finally got my Tenacious Royal Pualdron thanks to Dirk (MortalBIade, lvl 200 Dual Blade). Thank you again Dirk! I also recubed my Crimsonheart Cape and Marx Von Leon Gloves, and I got more %-STR. I have an accumulated 21%-STR now. Last but not least, I got my hands on a Silver Stamp (50% chance to increase a 2-lined equip into a 3-lined) and it worked on my Bunny Disguise 3! Now I just need to cube it.

For the GMS users, note that we do not have Cross Brigade (aka Silent Crusade in GMS, removed recently) or JMS Monsterbook for the Level 80 potentialable shoulderpads.
