[TF2] First Hale's Own Strange!

Hi guys! It has been quite a while since my last Team Fortress 2-related blogpost.
Just a few minutes ago, I reached my first Hale's Own Strange weapon!

It's the Grenade Launcher for the Demoman class, that (Strange-variant) one I've been using for several years now. I traded it back when the Salvaged Crate 30 was still available in-game, and it was also my very first Strange-variant weapon I traded for in the game. Shortly after, I got my Ullapool Caber, but that will be for another post to talk about.

Strange-variant weapons in Team Fortress 2 track specific stats while using them. Occasionally they "Rank Up" after a fixed amount of kills (some weapons track different stats in order to Rank Up*), with Hale's Own being the last rank up after defeating 8500 (!) players. Extra counters (such as buildings destroyed, total damage dealt, etc) have been added much later, hence why some of my counters are far behind the kill counter.

The next one that will probably reach Hale's Own will be my Stickybomb Launcher, but that might take a while...
That's it for now guys, until next post!

[TF2] Tam O'Shatter achieved!

Hi guys! Today I finally achieved the Tam O'Shatter achievement, one of the hardest achievements for the Demoman class. To earn this achievement, you have to group with a Medic from your team and destroy 5 Engineer buildings when the Medic deploys a single Übercharge.

The usual problems are the lack of a Medic who assists you and a large convenient Engineer nest which can be destroyed within a single Übercharge (which is 8 seconds).
So today I've been playing Payload often, and we started a match on the map Barnblitz. Conveniently, the opposing team set up an Engineer nest in the first main hall with four Engineers. A friend (who played Medic in that match) joined me in-game and we made sure the nest would be destroyed in order to progress. The first Übercharge failed, but the second made sure I was able to achieve it!

I entered the first main hall with my friend and he deployed the Übercharge. I couldn't manage to destroy all buildings in the first few seconds, because all the Sentries were locked on us with large knockback. But after a while, funny enough, I got "locked" into an upper corner because of all the knockback, making it easy for me to place several sticky bombs. The last second I managed to destroy the 5th building!

So now the only Demoman achievement left is the slightly bugged Scotch Guard.
That's it for Team Fortress 2 for today. See you guys next post!

[TF2] Double Mauled Scotch achieved!

Hi guys, I recently achieved the Double Mauled Scotch achievement! It's a rather simple and easy achievement to reach, though I haven't had that simple situation until about an hour ago (you can see that I achieved it in the chat on the left bottom corner). The achievement requires you to perform a Sticky Jump (using your own blast knockback to propel you into the air in large distances) and kill two people. I was playing on Capture the Flag - Double Cross and I was heading to the opponent's Flag area, while I saw two foes nearby. Sure I had this type of situation often (even with more people at once), but I couldn't get at least two people killed. But fortunately today I was lucky enough to manage a double kill, which (finally) unlocked this achievement.

I only have two achievements left for my class Demoman, that's the Tam O'shatter and the Scotch Guard achievement. You can read more about it in my previous Team Fortress 2-achievement related post.

Until next post, and I wish you a nice weekend!

[TF2] Strange Splendid Screen GET!

Hi guys! Another Team Fortress 2 update today. I finally got my Strange Splendid Screen! I've been wanting one back in 2011 when I started Team Fortress 2. Valve (the company that runs TF2) recently added a Strange variant of this one through a special Mann Co. Crate (Crate #50). These crates are rather expensive... I had to wait a while until these Strange Splendid Screens price dropped to a reasonable price for me.

Time to level it! Until next post guys, have a nice day!

[TF2] The High Road & Current loadout

Hi guys! My holiday's almost over, and I got back into Team Fortress 2 lately. I haven't played TF2 a lot in the past 15 months, since I was playing MapleStory Europe and Borderlands 2 often (and you can only spend your time in one game at a time). Therefore I did not have much time left for Team Fortress 2.

Recently I've achieved the achievement The High Road! This achievement is basically an achievement where you have to be lucky to just have that opportunity to unlock it. For achieving The High Road, you need to Sticky Jump (blasting yourself away into great distances by detonating stickybombs on yourself) and land on a Capture Point, but also capturing the point itself. I have three Demoman achievements left to have completed the entire Demoman achievement pack. I'm really worried about getting Tam O'shatter and Scotch Guard.

Tam O'shatter is a really hard achievement to unlock since you have to destroy 5 enemy Engineer buildings in one ÜberCharge (grants either invincibility, instant criticals, resistances or fast healing, depending on the Medic's weapon) from a Medic. First you just have to find two Engineers which have set-up 5 buildings (since one Engineer only can set up a max of 4 buildings at once). Second you have to have a Medic who is assisting you. Third is that you have to destroy those 5 buildings in 8 seconds (because an ÜberCharge is 8 seconds). It is possible, and actually the best way to do this is having a buddy in the same server as a Medic (while he is healing other teammates, he will help you with the achievement).

Scotch Guard isn't really a hard achievement at all, but I'm worried about a strange thing that occurs when I'm trying to unlock it. Scotch Guard requires you to kill 3 enemies which are capping a point or pushing a cart, three separate times within a single Stickybomb detonation. This may sounds easy, and yes, it is easy. Though when I try to detonate and did kill 3 enemies, I did not gain 1/3 of the achievement at all. I still do not know how I did not gain 1/3.

Well enough about achievements for this post. Some people asked me about my Demoman loadout, and thus, I will explain and show my current loadout. I use a Strange Grenade Launcher, a Strange Stickybomb Launcher and a Strange Ullapool Caber. My clothing varies between a combination of the Samur-eye + Menpo + Battery Bandolier or just a regular Conjurer's Cowl. You can find more information about my Team Fortress 2 inventory here.

Well guys, have a nice day and until next post!

[Other] Slow news period again.

Don't worry I'm still alive I just do not have much to blog about. News dried up again a bit. A bit of summary:

[EMS] I'm level 184 on MapleStory Europe, going to level to 185 soon. Still working on my gear and traits. Made some new friends the past few weeks.

[TF2] I really enjoy the Mann VS Machine update on Team Fortress 2. Got my 90 hour Demoman playtime.

[YT] Need a month or 2 and we will reach our first 1.000.000 total upload views! Thanks also for a few fans that contacted me online on EMS ^_^

[LEGO] Not much happened in the Lego® section. Still enjoying my collection and dusting off some sets I displayed on shelves.

[Drawing] Haven't drawn anything special, only small unimportant things.

Until next post!

[EMS, TF2, YT, Lego] Little news

Title says all. Well, there is something to say... a bit.

Level'd up a bit on MapleStory Europe, my character Rayque is Level 168 now. Working a bit on my funds, getting some mesos for scrolling later on. Still busy with Hob King PQ, but not much these days. I'm at 104/300 Emblems for the Crazy Hyena mount.

Played Team Fortress 2 a bit, reached 80 hours of Demoman gameplay. Almost got 1500 accumulated kills on my Strange Grenade Launcher. Not that much of an achievement, but it is still nice. Oh and MechaRaptor, Sentry goin' Pow, eh?

Finally got 333 subscribers on Youtube, thank you guys, this is a great milestone again for the Rayque3 Staff! Keep supporting us ^__^

Reading xG10x's Twitter. Don't forget to subscribe him. He's an awesome buddy of mine. He calls me a Spy (but not a Demoman) since I just read his Twitter a lot (and he knows it) :D

Yup, Lego®, again. Still my greatest passion, my number 1 hobby. Working slowly on rebuilding an older set I do own. I've purchased two new sets, but it will take up to end of May/begin June to get those here in my room.

Imma sleep, I'm broke. Good night all, see you in the next post.

P.S., do you like my Kirby picture attached on this post?

[TF2] Tartan Spartan achieved!

Hi guys, today I've finally achieved the Tartan Spartan achievement for the Demoman class. To get this achievement, you need to do 1.000.000 blast damage. If you've never played Team Fortress 2, a single grenade who doesn't hit your target directly does only about 35 damage... So, it took me 66,8 hours of playing Demoman to get this amount... and I finally have it!

Until next post.

[TF2] Kilt in action

Hi guys, today on Team Fortress 2 I finally achieved the Kilt in action, an achievement for the class Demoman (which I usually play all the time at TF2). The goal of this achievement is to kill 500 enemy Soldiers. It took a while to achieve it but I finally have it!

I'm six (6) achievements away from completing all Demoman achievements! I'm working on the Tartan Spartan achievement, and it takes a lot of time since you need to do 1.000.000 blast damage (for example, my current Demoman primary weapon only does up to about 100 damage if I hit an enemy directly). I'm at about 9/10th of the achievement, so I will complete it soon.
