[EMS] 6 Years!

Hi guys!

Today it is 30 September 2013. This means, this is my 6th year of playing MapleStory Europe already!

As mentioned in various other posts, I've started playing on my Hero back in 2007. I still haven't quitted this character or had any urge to yet! This character is still very enjoyable for me and the fun only becomes more by time. I think I'm one of the few Maplers world-wide who never had more than one main character or ever replaced it for several (in my case six) consecutive years...

Some friends asked me why I haven't been that much online lately; I've been busy with my work for school and it consumes most of my spare time. The past three weeks I've spend 50 to 70 hours on school each week! This is also the main reason why I haven't been blogging or creating videos the past few weeks that often. Do not worry, I'm still often in the mood for blogging, recording or Mapling!

Until next post guys, have a nice day!

[YT] Current issues - Let's Play Borderlands 2

Dear reader, this blogpost is related to the following post(s):
-  [YT] Breakthrough! Overpower Level 6 unlocked!

In case you would be interested in more information, please check out those above. Thanks for reading!

Hi guys! We at Rayque3 had a few questions about our current Let's Play Borderlands 2. Usually we had a weekly schedule, where we upload a new part every week. Unfortunately the most recent part has been uploaded the 12th of July 2013. What happened to our Borderlands 2 playthrough?

Two things occurred, these are the two reasons why our Borderlands 2 playthrough has been postponed.

You might remember previous parts, part 30~33, that Rayque (me) had major issues with Borderlands 2; he mentioned that his game was running with large framerate issues and that his sound was distorted. When Rayque purchased Borderlands 2 in the winter of 2012, he found out his PC was too weak to run Borderlands 2 properly. Eventually several setting tweaks allowed him to run the game - however, in addition to that - he got himself a new PC in mid-2014 to run heavier games in general. This issue has been fixed, but caused quite some delay in 2013 and mid-2014.

The second thing that occurred has been the Downloadable Content (DLC) for Borderlands 2, the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack #2. In this DLC, similar to the first Upgrade Pack, your maximum level will be increased with 11. If you own both packs, you are able to make use of the Overpower Level system. Without much going into detail, it increases the difficulty of the game harshly.

In earlier parts of our Let's Play, we postponed some recording sessions to prepare gear and levels for the next parts (to keep up our quality standards). However, that time we dedicated to keep up the quality also caused the major delay with the Overpower Level system. To be able to utilize the Overpower Level system, you are required to take several raids in one of Borderlands 2's most challenging areas, The Raid on Digistruct Peak

There's a total of eight phases in this system. Previously, we did raids every weekend - eventually we weren't able to keep up the dedication because of the required time. It was nearly impossible to do these on your own, especially during Phase 5. So we worked as a team together and we're not really able to complete it on our own. Whenever you complete a Phase, you'll need to build up your gear from scratch in order to stand a chance against the next one (in total it might require more than several hundreds of hours). This caused some issues in scheduling for our Youtube, whereas issues later on only caused more delay. We tried to keep up with the weekly schedule for MechaRaptor's walkthrough series, so we had to reduce the available time for Borderlands 2. MechaRaptor (Luxatus Patella) was studying abroad in 2014, which caused a general delay in videos a year for enabling him to finish the course (because we prioritize study results above Youtube for a good reason).

Both of the reasons caused a major delay for the playthrough itself (and some delay for other projects as well). We're currently stuck in Phase 5 until we have found enough time to resume the Let's Play.

Apologize for the current issues; but do not worry, the playthrough is not dead! It's unfortunately on a hiatus for an unknown period of time.

[Lego] Project Loader: Borderlands 2 in Lego® - Constructor [WIP]

Return back to Project Overview.

Project Loader
"Locking on the target. Borderlands 2"
- Project Timeline

Hi guys! So today I finally announce my next Lego® project. It's the Hyperion's Constructor from Borderlands 2. For now I'm building the Hailfire and Constructor simultaneous.

It'll make use of Mindstorms EV3 and pneumatic. It seems that it's going to be near 30 cm long, and going to weight up to 2 kilograms (similar to my Hailfire and Afterlord).

Like the Afterlord, the Hailfire and Constructor may take a few months before it'll be finished. I'll keep you updated! Until next post~
