[EMS] First Level 20 Arcane Symbol GET!

Aaaand we're back with Chew Chew being maxed out again! The Arcane Symbol Level cap was raised from 15 to 20 with the Nova update, which happened several months ago.

I might actually consider to keep that daily Hungry Muto runs (the runs that would give you EXP for your Chew Chew Symbol), despite that I said back in December. What changed my mind? I pretty much got to a point where doing Hungry Muto has become almost a cakewalk for me with those two additional 20% Item Drop rates and the major increase of my total Arcane Force, which already supplies 6900 STR by itself right now. Plus, when I'm doing my daily stuff on EMS I often come to a point where I just opportunist myself with "while you're at it". That daily one billion EXP for a few extra minutes is just too invaluable...

Regarding my other Arcane Symbols: I managed to figure out a way to achieve the maximum daily score on Spirit Savior for my Arcana Symbol, which has been pretty damn consistent so far with only a few days where I just missed out on one or two symbols because I screwed up some movement. Even with a handful of days where you don't win it all, I should definitely be able to max out my Arcana Symbol before the end of this year. My Road of Vanishing symbol should be done somewhere this Summer.

My Lacheln Symbol is a total different story though. At first, I only managed to get three Floor 10's each day for a couple of months (which is about 1~2 Lacheln Symbols a day). I managed to get all the way to Floor 20 a few weeks ago, but I managed to pull off Floor 30's recently even though it's still a bit challenging. But the good part about having gotten to daily Floor 30's is that it can only become easier from now on, given my damage obviously still improves and so does my Dream Breaker experience. But don't expect my Lacheln Symbol to hit Level 20 any time soon (probably somewhere late 2019).

Would I be surprised if Nexon would increase the cap level for Arcane Symbols again? No, I wouldn't. I mean, why should we?

Anyway, I'm going to hop back into my New Game+ file for Xenoblade 2 since I still have plenty of stuff to do there, and start rendering a six hour Single-Part-Video in the meanwhile. Said render should take the remainder of the day, and probably should be done by tomorrow morning. Fun fact: I also have another Single-Part-Video ready to be uploaded later this year. And no, I'm not referring to my Xenoblade 1 SPV, I'm talking about a much older project that I had in mind since 2009 and have tried to work on a couple of times in the past, but I only have managed to pull it off recently. Either way: whooo, two new Single-Part-Videos! Get hyped (or, maybe not).

That's it for today - I'll see you guys again next post!

[EMS] Tenth Legendary Potential GET!

Hi guys! Today I managed to cube my secondary weapon to Legendary! This marks my tenth Legendary item that I currently own.

But wait - why did I cube my secondary weapon to Legendary this late? Cuz y'know, it is commonly advised to get your weapons and/or shoes/gloves to Legendary first, due to the gamechanging Potential lines that are exclusive to these equipment. The main reason why I held off with cubing my secondary weapon is because I didn't have this Princess No's Medal until somewhere late 2017.

I was planning to obtain a Princess No's Medal ever since the Sengoku update came out. However, I never really managed to get my hands on one because virtually nobody in EMS did Princess No runs due to the difficulty on getting the entry keys for this particular raid. Hence why I've been running a normal Virtue's Medal for the past couple of years. I actually missed out on purchasing a Princess No's Medal somewhere in November 2015, when there was one for sale in Free Market, as shown below.

This particular one was floating around for several weeks, and probably because the seller couldn't get this one sold, the price for this Princess No's Medal kept decreasing. Back then, 300m mesos was quite heavy on my budget, so I held off with purchasing this one until it would drop even further. However, that was obviously a stupid decision as I was playing with fire - someone else purchased it before I could when the price was at 200m because of my unnecessary hesitation. Ironically, I did meet the Hero who purchased it last year though, given the Hero community has always been small in EMS.

So of course, by the time the Tune Up update was released in EMS where they started giving away free Princess No raid entry keys, I've done plenty of weekly raids with a few friends. Unfortunately without success, but I did manage to purchase my Princess No's Medal through Auction House. Fun fact: I've been hinting towards my "journey" to this "Ribgol of all secondary weapons" several times before on my blog, an example written in this blogpost here.

Let's not forget that by the time I got this item in late 2017, I was still working on getting my pendants to Legendary in preparation for the next Murgoth event. So of course because I managed to obtain my two 20% Item Drop Rate lines, the next item in line would've been this secondary weapon.

I'll probably do another side tracking again for cubing my Princess No's Medal until it outperforms my current Virtue's Medal, because I could really make use of some additional % Boss Damage to soften the Lacheln's Dream Breaker difficulty... When that's settled, I'm planning to cube my Emblem to Legendary. "But w-w-wait Ray, didn't you already have a Legendary Emblem already?" Well... while that is true, I'm going to explain that situation in the "Eleventh Legendary Potential GET!" blogpost when that time is here.

Totally out of context: yes, they have fixed my 125/128 bank issue with yesterday's maintenance. Whoo

That's it for today - I'll see you guys again next post!

[EMS] Level 227!

Still at one level a month it seems! I doubt that would be the same case for Level 228, but either way - I can't keep up the "one level a month" thing forever though. But at least if this EXP a day should stay consistent, perhaps Level 230 wouldn't be too far away after all...

[EMS] Amaterasu's Helm - Finished scrolling!

Another Amaterasu equipment done! Now, I only have my Mark of Naricain, Ani Pendant and Rex's Perfect Red Earrings left to scroll - which is a total of 73 slots on my current layout ICOG'd so far (a grand total of 108 slots on all equips combined), and only 17 slots remaining for these last three equipment...

The stats gained from ICOGs on my Amaterasu's Helm have been pretty much the same as my Amaterasu's Overall: it's okay. The total attack gain is under average but aside from that I should not forget that my Amaterasu's Helm will be the second highest STR/DEX source in my equipment inventory, being just a tad behind my Amaterasu's Overall when it's done. Of course I would've preferred higher stats, but I suppose we all do and there's always something left to improve.

At least it's important to note that my Amaterasu's Helm fortunately is without Additional Options, so I can always safely use an Innocence Scroll and give the scrolling as many attempts as I want to. Then again, the Ark update should also allow us to rescroll equipment without losing Additional Options, by using the Ark Innocence Scrolls. Although it's probably better to finish my three remaining items first, as it would otherwise be a waste of (expensive) resources and my mesos is currently better spent elsewhere.

Oh, by the way: I've also managed to get my second 20% Item Droprate Potential line. That means I'm prepared and ready for the next Murgoth event, and that I can pour my next Meister cubes in Unique-equipment-that-have-yet-to-become-Legendary again. Speaking about the Murgoth event: why don't we have the Soul Extractor in EMS yet?

Anyway, with my Amaterasu's Helm done; I'm done with scrolling all of my Amaterasu equipment! For now...

That's it for today guys - I'll see you again next post!

[Lego] Black light - #6989 Mega Core Magnetizer

Since it has been a while since my last non-project related LEGO® blogpost, I thought it might be a good excuse to dust off one of my favorite Space models for a Black light post! It has also been almost 1,5 years ago since my last Black light post.

The #6989 Mega Core Magnetizer was the largest set of the M-Tron line (released in 1990), a theme that started the extensive use of magnets in non-train sets. It held the record for being the largest Space wheeled vehicle set that LEGO® for almost twenty years, with the #7699 MT-101 Armoured Drilling Unit (Mars Mission, from 2007) holding the current record.

Large Space wheeled vehicles is unfortunately not a common thing to see in Space sets. Rarely has a wheeled vehicle been the largest set in a Space subtheme, with other names as the Arachnoid Star Base (Insectoids, 1998) and the Galactic Titan (Galaxy Squad, 2013) being other notable examples. Either way, Space hasn't been such a common theme to be done since Star Wars was released - most likely because Star Wars cannibalizes the sales of Space, and not many children are as interested in most evergreen LEGO® themes (i.e. Pirates, Space, Castle) as most adults have that were born before 2000.

The Mega Core Magnetizer is packed with lots of play features, most of which are designed around the main crane it has. The crane contains one of those magnets, and pretty much every cargo has a magnet too. Almost every Space theme had a story-based role and existed in the same imaginary universe that LEGO® set up since Futuron, and M-Tron were set up to be the mechanics and engineers to repair broken spaceships and other stuff (as shown in promotional material).

All of the cargo conveniently fits in the main vehicle build and the crane can easily reach every cargo without much hassle. Despite this being an old set and perhaps "blocky" for today's standards, it screams to be played with and I can imagine it made a lot of children happy! PS: I did not own this set as a child. On the contrary, this set is older than I am.

While nowadays a lot of modern LEGO® Designers keep track of what sets they've designed in the past few years, it is fairly difficult to find out who designed the older LEGO® sets before 2000. Just only a handful of LEGO® Designers from before 2000 are still working at this day, and fortunately a colleague of the designer of this set has kept track of what he has designed over the past almost 30 (!) years. I was surprised to see he was responsible for a lot of fantastic and well known sets that are highly coveted by a lot of fans, including some favorite sets of mine...

Speaking of old! I own the original box of this set with the instructions and all. This is probably going to be the oldest LEGO® box I'll ever own, because I have little interest in sets prior to 1990. Either way: if this box were a legal citizen, it would've been old enough to vote in most countries.

That's it for today - I'll see you guys again next post!
