Blog Glossary

Rayque's Blog may use various terms which could be new to some readers. This glossary is an list specially made for them, to explain certain terms and jargon that appear on this blog.

Prefixes for blogposts

[EMS] - Europe MapleStory, an online role playing game developed by Nexon. The most common subject on Rayque's Blog.

[YT] - Youtube, a subject related to the Rayque3 Staff Youtube. Information about videos, projects and other related things go here. Blogposts relating to this blog will also be found here. One of the main subjects for Rayque's Blog.

[Lego] - All blogposts related to the well-known toy brand goes here. Various LEGO projects will be found here, alongside my love for LEGO's most niche products.

[Drawing] - Self-made drawings will be posted here.

[PKMN] - Certain posts related to the Pokémon game series will be found here.

[TF2] - Team Fortress 2, a popular multiplayer shooter on Steam. Posts related will be found here.

[Other] - Last but not least, stuff that's important enough but does not fall under the previous categories.

Sometimes blogposts may affect multiple subjects at once. For these situations, a combination can be used.
These posts will also be found in both Categories if you sort blogposts under a specific subject.

In example [YT, EMS] is a prefix for MapleStory projects related to our Youtube Channel and will appear under both Youtube and EMS Categories.

Terms, names and jargon

A3 Paper - A sheet of paper twice the size as the regular "A4" paper. An A3 paper is sized 29,7 x 42,0 centimeters.

AFOL - Adult Fan of LEGO. People who already passed 18 years old and still have a love for the toy brand.

AFOL Builder - An Adult Fan of LEGO which concentrates on designing MOCs (see MOC). Instead of buying sets to display, the AFOL Builder prefers to create their own projects. See also AFOL.

AFOL Collector - An Adult Fan of LEGO which concentrates on collecting various LEGO products, instead of using the bricks from those ones to design various self-designed creations. See also AFOL.

Article - A category for the longest in-depth blogposts (at minimum 100 pages) found on my blog.

Big Tasty - Name for a hamburger in the fast food restaurant McDonalds. A recurring joke between Rayque and MechaRaptor. It's a burger with one slice of meat, cheese, bacon, onion, barbecue sauce and lots of lettuce. Fun fact:
three of these "calorie bomb" burgers equals the recommended daily calories for adult males.

BL2 - Borderlands 2, a sci-fi role playing shooter game, which also enables online cooperation from 3 other friends.

BL3 - Borderlands 3, the sequel to Borderlands 2.

DE - Definitive Edition, most likely to refers to the article regarding the differences between the original and the eponymous "Definitive Edition" re-release of Xenoblade 1. Article on hold indefinitely. See also Article.

Demoman - A class in Team Fortress 2 that concentrates on explosive damage and melee weapons. See also [TF2].

Destiny - Most likely referring to the EMS blogpost discussing the Destiny revamp. See also Article.

Drawing Markers - Drawing tools. Has a better fill than pencils and can be applied in layers to create gradients.

Dutchies - The alliance (a group of guilds) in MapleStory that FallenAngel is part of.

ETC - Most likely refers to the ETC project, an ongoing lineup of MOCs. Also see MOC.

FallenAngel - The guild in MapleStory that Rayque's been a member of since November 2008. Also went by the name "PatchedWings" between May 2010 and November 2016.

Favoured Posts - A term for various blogposts that the writer (Rayque) recommends to read.

FL4K - The beastmaster class in Borderlands 3, concentrates on utilizing pets and cloaking for combat. See also BL3.

Fox - Not going to explain this. It's a secret to everyone!

Hackwave - Refers to the Europe MapleStory incident in 2012 where a data breach caused severe damage to the game's population. The hackwave led to the server migration in 2016. See also Migration.  

HDH - An abbreviation for the High-Dex Hero video series on our Youtube.

Hero - A nimble warrior class in MapleStory, designed around combo counters and swordsmanship for its gameplay.

Inti Creates - Japanese videogame developer that Rayque ardently follows.

KMS - Korean MapleStory, which is the original version. Main updates for the game appear in Korea first.

KMST - "Korean MapleStory Tespia", which is the test server of KMS. In MapleStory, updates usually appear in Tespia first, before being released to the (Korean) public server a few weeks later.

Kradia - The former name of the server where I play at Europe MapleStory. As of November 2016, Kradia was merged with the Demethos server and got renamed to "Luna". See also Migration and [EMS].

LIT - LEGO Inside Tour, most likely referring to the My LEGO Inside Tour 2015 Experience blogpost.

Luna - Name of the server where I play at Europe MapleStory. Prior to November 2016, it went by the name "Kradia".

Lux - A shortened version of MechaRaptor's screenname, Luxatus Patella. See also Luxatus Patella.

Luxatus Patella - The second (and now commonly used) screenname of MechaRaptor. See also MechaRaptor.

MechaRaptor - One of the pioneers of the Rayque3 Staff. Good real-life friend of Rayque.

Migration - Refers to the Europe MapleStory incident in November 2016. About 90% of the three million characters were permanently deleted from the game as the European servers were handed over to a different Nexon subsidiary.

MK - Most likely refers to the MK project, an ongoing lineup of MOCs. Also see MOC.

MOC - My Own Creation. A common term for LEGO creations that are designed by fans and are not official products.

Mokarr - Refers to a cancelled LEGO set from 2002 that Rayque is obsessed with.

Nexon - The company that owns and runs MapleStory.

NFSMW - Need For Speed Most Wanted, mostly related to our first big project on our Youtube Channel.

Ray - A shortened version of my screen name, Rayque.

Rayque - That's me!

Rayque3 Staff - The name of the group of our Youtube channel. Fun facts: Rayque3 can be divided in Rayque and 3. The 3 can be seen as a 90 degrees turned M, resembling the M of MechaRaptor. It can also be seen as the interaction between three people: Rayque, MechaRaptor and the viewer.

Ribgol Sword - An in-game weapon (two-handed sword) for the game MapleStory, strongly resembles Zabimaru from the anime Bleach. Rayque's favorite weapon in MapleStory. Originally called "Bone Sword" in Japan MapleStory, also goes by the name "Stonetooth Sword" in some versions of MapleStory.

SPV - An abbreviation for the Single-Part Videos, a series on our Youtube which often contains our longest videos.

Steam - An online gaming platform ran by the company Valve with a large digital storefront and community. You can find my Steam profile on the right side of the menu. Feel free to add me.

Tespia - See KMST.

Xenoblade - Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) series owned by Nintendo. Developed by Monolith Soft.

Zer0 - The assassin class in Borderlands 2, who concentrates on long-range and melee attacks. See also BL2.
